A. Free Play (Mix Group)
Total Time 20 Min.
Children will play outdoors. Teacher will monitor and observe their activities and play. It will be indoor play time in case of the rainy season or any other circumstances. Teacher will not guide them with what to play with and how to play. She will take care of safety and causations. She can ask to make a line or wait for turn to come.

(10 min.)Tell the children that all the activities and games for the day/week will be about ‘family’. Engage the children in a conversation by showing the flashcards of family members. Like this is father, mother, brother, sister etc.
The teacher will make the children say father, mother, brother and sister. She will also use finger puppets during music and movement.

How many members in the family?
The teacher will show the flashcards of family members and say mummy, papa, brother, sister, and so on.
Then she will ask the children to say count number of family members on their fingers. If the child doesn’t know then the teacher can help from the circular or form filled by the parents mentioning the details of family members.
Preparation for teachers: Teacher must send a circular before 4 days to get the names of family members. Parents will fill up the form with names asked in the circular.
F. Planned/Structured Game (Fine / Gross)

The teacher will make a big ball (circle) on the floor with wet chalk. Then she will ask the children to walk on the circle.

Family members are special – name and clothes
The teacher will show the flashcards of family members and say mummy, papa, brother, sister, and so on. She will talk about the clothes worn by family members.
Then she will ask the children to say the name of family members on their fingers. If the child is not able to answer then the teacher can use the previously filled form for the names.
Materials required: The form filled by parents
Preparation for teachers: Teacher must usethe circular to take/say the names of family members. Parents should have sent the form with names asked in the circular.

Teacher will keep the things worn by father in one tray and things worn by mother in another tray.
She will put the drawings on the floor. The children will pick one thing at a time from the tray and keep it on mother or father drawings
as worn by them.

Big and Small
The teacher shows big clothes and small clothes. Like she will show a big pant and ask who wears it? Papa wears a big pant and the child wears a small pant. Same way for mumma’s clothes and baby’s clothes.
The teacher will ask the children to crumple papers and make big and small balls with it. Next, she will ask them to make a ball bigger than or smaller than the other child’s ball.
After comparing the balls, the teacher can play the music. The child will throw the ball in the air and catch it. This will continue till the time teacher plays the music.
Materials required:
Big and small cutouts of old newspapers.

Making a tower:
The teacher will demonstrate making a tower with 3 to 5 blocks. The children will then try making a tower using blocks from the basket.

Big and Small
Teacher will show some objects of big and small size.
A big ball and a small ball, a big soft toy and a small soft toy, a big bag and a small bag, a big chair and a small chair, a big book and a small book etc
She will show the difference between big and small size. Teacher will ask children who is big in their family. Who is small? Whom do you see big in the classroom? Who is small?
Teacher will ask children to collect few things they can see around them in the classroom.
And will guide where to keep big objects and where to keep small objects.
Children will collect the objects like sharpener, eraser, small block, bag, books, toys of different size, etc.
And will keep it respectively.

Parachute play – Volcano
- Put multi coloured 4 plastic balls in the centre of the
- Everyone to hold the edges carefully & gather together in – in –in
- Instruct them to come out slowly and all together to go up – up –up.
- The balls will roll up high like volcano.
- Repeat it till all the balls fall out of the parachute.
