A. Free Play (Mix Group)
Total Time 20 Min.
Children will play outdoors. Teacher will monitor and observe their activities and play. It will be indoor play time in case of the rainy season or any other circumstances. Teacher will not guide them with what to play with and how to play. She will take care of safety and causations. She can ask to make a line or wait for turn to come.
B. Circle Time (Whole Group)

(15 mins) Friends
The teacher will tell the children that all the activities and games for the day/week will be about ‘friends’. She will discuss and share about her friends and tell their name.
She will share how she likes to spend time with her friends and the games she plays with them. Then she can with whom they spend time and ask them names of their friends. Mumma takes you out to play with other children – then whom do you play with, do you know their names?
She will also make them say the names of other children in the class and we all are friends.

Let’s sing their song hip hip hooray… Their work is feat, they happily greet, One by one they are here to meet.

Square – The teacher will show the square objects in the class like a handkerchief, a geo board, puzzle board, a square basket etc. She will draw a square on the board and show it to children. She will also make the children move their fingers around the objects.

The teacher will make a big square on the floor with wet chalk. She will demonstrate by walking on the square and then ask the children to do the same. Walking side by side with a friend
holding hands will need a lot of coordination for small children.

Teacher will stand with the children in a circle and explain the activity to children. The plastic/steel glass is filled half with water. They will hold the glass first, and then pass it off to the friend standing next without falling it down.

Sponge squeezing
Children will dip the sponge into the bowl of water, pick the sponge up and hold it over the bowl. Then squeeze the sponge over the bowl and watch the water drip. The teacher will demonstrate the activity.

Play music and let children skip, hop, jump, run, relax and listen to the music.
Use a tambourine or drum and sing the ‘hello chant’ moving in a circle.
Provide adequate space, play music and let your children move their bodies to music.

Find a friend: The teacher gives cards of happy and sad, ‘colour dominos to the children. She will play some music and the children will dance. When the music stops, they have to find a partner with the same emotion or block.
Find a friend by the voice: Children will sit in a circle and close their eyes. Teacher touches one child and asks to make a noise; others have to tell whose voice was it.
